Farming: Two books and a video to end the year on
18 Dec 2018
Our farming book of the year … The Resilient Farmer, by Doug Avery, a man to speak the language of farmers, with a soaring message of hope and redemption.
We have a copy of The Resilient Farmer to give away, to the first person to email me back requesting it.
Thank you, Doug, for an up-lifting 2018.
The video we have to recommend is of an American farmer, Joel Salatin, of Fields of Farmers fame, a book he published in 2013. In this video he talks about the problems of farm succession in America, where the average age of American farmers is 60, and where 50% of farm equity will transfer in the next 15 years. See Fields of Farmers video here.
Our third item is a book by Phil Gifford, Looking After Your Nuts & Bolts, A Kiwi Men’s Health Guide. We also have a copy of this book to give away, to the first person to email me back requesting it.
We are taking a break from News and will be back in print the week beginning 21 January 2019.
Have a wonderful festive season.
Keep asking great questions …
